Origami lucky stars are a long-standing gift tradition. A star is folded by hand from a single strip of paper, and a jar or box of them is given as a wish for good luck. This box holds roughly 25 stars in red, white, and blue, folded one at a time.
At the center sits a genuine United States Mint American Silver Eagle: one troy ounce of .999 fine silver, brilliant uncirculated, sealed in a direct-fit capsule. The stars are luck for today. The silver is a keepsake that holds its form for decades.
Obverse: Walking Liberty, adapted from Adolph A. Weinman's 1916 half dollar design
Reverse: Bald eagle landing with an oak branch, designed by Emily Damstra
We stock this because a bare coin in a capsule is a hard thing to hand someone. The stars and the blue paper box turn our standard Silver Eagle into a gift you open slowly, with the silver kept as the piece that lasts.
Luck for today, and a keepsake for the years after.
